Polyaspartic is a polyurea derivative that cures fast — sometimes in under an hour per coat — and stays clear under direct sunlight. Compared to traditional epoxy, polyaspartic is more flexible (handles thermal expansion better in our hot/cold seasonal swings), more impact-tolerant (less likely to chip from dropped tools), and far more UV-stable. How We Install Polyaspartic & Polyurea Coatings

Diamond Grind

Mechanical surface profiling for proper adhesion — same prep standard as our epoxy systems.

Crack & Spall Repair

Polyurea crack filler and patching compound to bring the slab to a uniform, sound surface.

Pigmented Basecoat

Polyaspartic or epoxy basecoat applied with rollers and broadcast saturated with vinyl flake or quartz.

Excess Removal

Loose flake or quartz vacuumed and scraped off once the basecoat cures, leaving a uniform texture.

Polyaspartic Topcoat

Clear polyaspartic topcoat locks in the broadcast layer. Cures in a few hours — drive on it the next day.

How is polyaspartic different from epoxy?

Polyaspartic cures in hours instead of days, stays UV-stable (won't yellow), and is more flexible and impact-tolerant. Epoxy builds thicker films faster and offers slightly higher chemical resistance to certain solvents. Most premium systems use both — epoxy basecoat, polyaspartic topcoat.

Can you really install in one day?

Is polyaspartic worth the extra cost over plain epoxy?
